Dr. Christiansen is excellent. She makes complicated Calc topics fairly easy for everyone to understand. She keeps lectures interesting and she always answers questions. Quizzes and tests will be difficult if you don't do the practice problems, but she does post old exams online for extra practice and gives partial credit. | |
The number one thing you can do to do good in this class is do the ungraded hw. If you don't you probably cant expect a good grade unless your just really good in math. Overall it is easier than Calc 2 but its still no cakewalk. Theres lots of free help sessions for this class and I would definitely use these for the graded hw otherwise its pretty hard and they're also worth alot of your grade so don't just blow them off. At the end of the class I thought I was going to fail and our final exam was ridiculously hard. I ended up with a 67% in the class and got a B- so there is a good curve. |
